A Poem-ish

One cold day in February, I crumbled bacon & chopped oregano to be worked into chicken meatballs…

(null)

These meatballs also had garlic, caramelized onions, egg, almond meal, and chives…

(null)

They got served with Ottolenghi’s sweet potato wedges…

(null)

And also got served with blasted cherry tomatoes.

(null)

One cold day in February, I served those meatballs over roasted spaghetti squash and broccoli rabe…

(null)

I sautéed the broccoli rabe and adorned it with copious amounts of minced garlic, a splash of balsamic vinegar & perhaps what some would consider too much dill.

(null)

One cold day in February, I also put too much dill on this soup, along with a poached egg (surprise!) Mario Batali’s sweet pepper and white bean soup.

(null)

One cold day in February, having been putting a number of eggs in soups for dinner, I wanted something other than eggs for breakfast (what?!). Naturally, I opted for buckwheat waffles instead…

(null)

I served them with obligatory mimosas & fruit.

(null)

One cold day in February, I realized a poet I am not.

And that’s all I have to say about that.
